Affordable Housing for Locals at Pydar
The first point of Cornwall's Conservatives' Manifesto states that 'securing an affordable home for local families will continue to be our toughest challenge, but highest priority. A vote for your local Conservative candidate will keep up the pressure to deliver 1,000 affordable homes a year for the next five years'.
The Pydar Regeneration scheme must make its contribution towards this target.

2. Tackling Antisocial Behaviour
Chris has been working with Truro Safe partners to tackle antisocial behaviour. It is important that every incident is reported to ensure adequate resources are in place, including Truro's ASB officer and the new 'Hot Spot' policing.

3. Safer Streets by Deterring Speed
Chris set up a new Community Speed Watch group that has been measuring speeds on two roads in the division. Now the 20 mph manifesto commitment has been delivered, he plans to extend the monitoring over a wider area.

Cornwall's Conservatives will work together to

• Provide an extra £20 million to Fix Local Roads
Greater investment to fix local roads has been a priority for the Conservative administration. Funding allocations in 2025/26 are at their highest levels since 2017. A vote for the Conservatives will secure an extra £20 million investment to fix local roads and fill more potholes.

• Campaign for Fairer Funding for Cornwall
The Labour Government has cut Winter Fuel Payments from Cornish pensioners and slashed rural funding, resulting in Cornish residents getting less than people living in urban areas. Cornwall's Conservatives will oppose this and demand the Government gives Cornwall the fairer funding that we need.

• Support Young People in Cornwall
The Conservatives have rolled out the first ever Young Persons discount to be
used on buses across Cornwall. We will continue to listen to, and work with,
young people to make Cornwall an even better place to live, work and get a job.
