Statement to voters
On May 7th 2026, I will be seeking your help once more to become Councillor for our area covering **Aldermoor, Coxford, Lordshill and Lordswood.
Full statement
**
In 2024 at the last attempt, it was my closest showing yet. My vote share was raised and I was just 46 votes behind Labour, and over 750 votes ahead of all other parties.
Over the last two years two of your councillors changed party. One from Labour to the Greens, who came fifth in 2024, and one from Labour to the Lib Dems, who came fourth in 2024. In that time you know I was still fighting for you.
As few examples of Action for Our Ward
Lordshill Housing Office
I have had success in removing the eyesore of the Lordshill Housing office. I demonstrated the yearly costs it was accruing while just a shell and had been left too long to be turned into a usable site again.Coxford / Tremona Road Junction:
Rather than simply acknowledging issues, I found that the University and Hospital were redeveloping the site on the corner. Through my Conservative colleagues we got this raised at full council level to ask if the Council were seeking the ability to renew this junction that has the City’s most bus routes outside the City CentreExposing Wasteful Spending:
A further freedom of information request exposed the costs of the new City “welcome” signs that do nothing to demonstrate the history or gravitas of our standing as cruise capital.Fighting to Restore Street Lighting:
I’ve fought the switch-off since day one. By identifying incorrectly unlit pathways, I successfully got the lights turned back on in key areas. Now, I’m fighting to restore full lighting so our 24-hour workers can feel safe. You can still sign the petition: www.change.org/24hlights4sotonAnd finally of course, when any resident in need, I will seek to help and find a satisfactory resolution.
Give me the chance to be your councillor and you give me a platform to do more for every person in this ward, to push further for solutions for our ward. To ensure our ward has a person who is proactive in finding incoming issues and makes sure that you feel represented.
