Statement to voters
Abdul Kadir has lived on Baffins Road for more than 30 years.

His children and grandchildren use local schools and he runs a much-loved business on Albert Road.
Since Kadir became a councillor, he has helped secure money for a new ballcourt at Baffins Pond, run litterpicks at Tamworth and Cobden Parks and Great Salterns, dealt with anti-social behaviour on Milton Common and worked with people on traffic problems on Tangier Road and Moorings Way.
He got Southern Water to offer compensation to local businesses affected by its Eastern Road sewer works and launched monthly lunches for old and vulnerable people. He also ran a charity dinner for a local church.
“People across our area know that the local Lib Dem team - Darren Sanders, Leonie Oliver and myself - get things done,” says Kadir. “We work hard for local people all-year-round… and don’t just turn up at election time.”
