Kathleen Fraser was brought up in Wembley.
Full statement
Former College teacher and Carer Kathleen now works as a mental health ‘expert by experience’ and sees mental ill-health as the biggest challenge to the future of Brent residents. Kathleen supported residents in the design of Chalkhill Park and has organised activities, events, food support plus summer holiday schemes for children since 2007. Building the skills, resilience and confidence of all young people is a major priority. Kathleen currently organises a weekly food-waste club and ‘Drop-in’ at Chalkhill Community Centre. She will endeavour to end social isolation with the provision of safe spaces for residents to meet, connect, share skills and ideas for a healthier, cleaner, safer Brent.
