Statement to voters
Paula has been a Labour councillor since 2016, and after 32 years working for a local authority, she took early retirement to focus on the neighbourhoods and people in the communities she represents.
Full statement
Currently she’s a cabinet member for Housing and Children and Families. Both areas are close to her heart as she wants families to have the best start in life, attend good schools, be healthy and cared for, and live in homes that are safe and secure. Paula wants to continue the work your local Labour team have done in supporting residents – funding the welfare service, using ward funds to support community groups, tree planting, litter picks for example, and dealing with individual concerns.
This statement was added by Paula Maines, their team, or by a Democracy Club volunteer, based on information published by the candidate elsewhere.
